Rabbit is one of the most common starting points when cat owners try a novel protein diet. Because it is rarely used in standard commercial cat foods, many cats with food sensitivities tolerate it well.
Rabbit foods are often used during elimination diets and are commonly available as limited ingredient or single protein recipes. In the UK there are still relatively few rabbit-based foods available, but the options below include both wet and dry foods that may be suitable for sensitive cats.
